Burton Confirmed For ALICE & FRANKENWEENIERelated Ads Variety has confirmed the rumors of Tim Burton tackling two new projects in 3-D format next year. The trade reports that Burton will direct the re-imagining of ALICE IN WONDERLAND first with shooting scheduled to wrap by May. The film will be combined performance-capture imagery alongside live-action footage. Burton will be directing a screenplay of the Lewis Carroll classic adapted by Linda Woolverton. After he finishes that project, he's moving onward to FRANKENWEENIE, an full length adaptation of his 1984 short film. This one will be shot in stop-motion and shown in digital 3-D. His short film was about a pet dog brought back to life from his loyal owner.
